Had brilliant weekend had a 2 minute go on my 12 meter then back to 2m Ozone land kite with a bit of body dragging ... decided safer to learn slowly than to end up not windsurfing through being injured or dead 

Have been flying the land kite I borrowed from SWOW getting to grips with the 2 line and was hoping to take my kite out today with the instructor but its too windy ............... GUTTED !! Going to borrow a 3m 4 line power kite to use on land for more practice flying. I have also bought DVD and other instuction stuff to help me learn, seems you can never be too prepared. Have also considered getting myself a leash for the board but advice I have read everywhere suggests this is dangerous and just adds more problems so I don't think I will get one after all but will practice body drag once I can get out in the water.....

Went down to Saundersfoot beach today with Nick (owner of SWOW) we set up my kite and went through some safety stuff, too windy to fly the kite today as big gusts. Borrowed a land kite from shop which was damaged so had to swap lines, then went to Tenby South beach on my own where I discovered the lines now only had one handle, had a go anyway and ended up with a birds nest of line..... end of sport for today !! Was later told the lines twisted as I was pulling too hard on one line ............. Thats one quick lesson !

Have been told by SWOW that we can set up the kite this weekend !! Bought a wet suit last weekend .............. 

I recently came back from a holiday in El Medano where I watched some pretty cool Kitesurfing. On arrival home I purchased a 12m Kite and equipment from my local watersports shop who cater for windsurfing kayaking etc. However I am yet to even fly the kite as they wont let me take it from the shop without firstly providing me with some basic tuition ............... So watch this space to read about my new adventure and learning ! Hope to be on the water soon
